SRM 5.1 Reprotect Error Msg - Virtual machine is in an invalid state.

I've done a fresh install of SRM 5.1 between two sites using vSphere replication, with Dell MD3220i SANs on each end. When I perform a recovery, it works as designed, and the VM powers up normally at the remote site. When I then do a Reprotect, I receive the following error message when it gets to the task called "Start new replication instance for virtual machine".

"

Vsphere Replication operation error: Virtual machine is in an invalid state."

The operation continues, and eventually the Reprotect is successful. The VM can then be recovered in the opposite direction without incident.

Does anyone know what this error message represents?

Thank You,

-Dan

VMWare support has indicated that the error should be an informational message, rather than an error message, and that the category will be changed in an upcoming version. The invalid state message is accurate, and precedes the synchronization process to the other site.
