SRM 5.1.1 Installation

After trying all of the user accounts I can think of under the sun, I wasn't able to pass the step where I need to authenticate with the virtual center where SRM will be managed. Are there any restrictions that applies? I have virtual center 5.1 installed in a separte server than SRM and SSO. Is there a document that can shine some light on this? I can't seem to find the right account to use in the step on the screenshot attached.

Thanks

Hi,

You need to provide an account with administrator right on your vCenter.

Please check here for more information about SRM and installation : http://pubs.vmware.com/srm-51/index.jsp#com.vmware.srm.install_config.doc/GUID-723EAC1B-AC21-4CAA-98...

This should be the service account you created for vCenter to run under. Take a look at vCenter Server service in Windows. The account you used there should be filled in at the correct place from your screenshot.

In this article I explained the requirements and setting up of the vCenter service account:  http://www.getshifting.com/wiki/vcenter51#configuring_accounts
