We know for the fact that with NetApp you cannot span the RDM's across controllers i.e. to host the VM Configuration file on Controller 1 and RDM's on Controller 2. This setup is not supported by NetApp whilst using Site Recovery Manager (Courtesy http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-4064.pdf).
But how about other Storage Controllers/Heads, i.e. for EMC or HDS and so on, what is the best practice around those solutions
If someone can point me to some official black and white documentation that would be great.
