Dear All,
Just wanted to know that can i have a mix version on vSphere infrastructure at primary and DR site.

DC
Not entirely sure what you're asking here, exactly which product version are you concerned about? I'm guessing that you're asking about ESX versions and I have found that ESX 3.x and 4.0 can be used at each location with the caveat that virtual machine hardware version must stay at version 4.
Hopefully that helps!

In details!!
- we are planning to vSphere 4.0 Enterprise Plus at primary Site and at DR site we are planning to have standard/advance version of vSphere 4.0
this is no problem. you can mix them as suggested.

I think this is an interesting question. There's clearly money to be saved by going for a lower-level SKU at the Recovery Site. Just don't expect any 8-way VMs to power on the DR location!
I guess you could use a PS script to downgrade the CPU spec with the VMs... but that's not very desirable...
