Protection Group - Unable to create placeholder virtual machine at the recovery site

Hi, I previously successfully created a Protection Group (PG) and all placeholder VMs. I then removed the PG and also ensured the placeholder VM's are removed from the non-replicated LUN. When I re-create the PG an error is received "Unable to create placeholder virtual machine at the recovery site", also indicating permission to perform this operation is denied. Now previosuly this has worked and why when re-creating the PG should it fail?

Are there no longer directories shown when you browse the non-replicated placeholder LUN on the recovery site?

There directories do not exist on the datastore and also names in the inventory.

I have actually resolved the issue, but am not sure what was the cause or issue, OR whether the correct mechanism to resolve the issue was followed. I basically ran a repair for SRM and the plug-in at both sites, re-scanned all storage, re-joined the sites ...etc, (i.e. more or less repeating the installed) and then the protection for the problem VM worked.

I still do not know the original cause of error message.
