Process for removing a dead SRM server(s)

Cant seem to find the process on removing SRM servers that no longer exist. Have two that I need to cleanup. Anyone have a link to the steps?

This error appears at the top when you login to SRM

Unable to retrieve pairs from extension server at https://X.X.X.X:9086/vcdr/vmomi/sdk.Unable to connect to Site Recovery Manager Server at https://X.X.X>X:9086/vcdr/vmomi/sdk. Reason: java.net.ConnectException: Timeout connecting to [/X.X.X.X:9086]

Ah, yes, this has been a long time bugbear of mine (we do a lot of SRM testing with our Adapter and frequently find ourselves in this state!)

Anywho, the solution, if what you described is what I am thinking,
is to enter your vSphere's MOB browser, -> Content -> Properties -> Extention Manager. Then find the SRM extentions at fault (They'll be named *com.vmware.vcDr* -... or something like that). Copy the name/string and use to unregister the extentions. Now hopefully your errors have gone.

I think a few pages had the steps, I'll find one to link for you...

After you have manually removed the SRM instance from the MOB, you may want to health check your vCenter server; maybe take a look at VDT: https://flings.vmware.com/vsphere-diagnostic-tool it runs on the VC and has found many instances where left over registrations/duplicate SRM registrations have been left behind...
