PowerCLI 5.5 / API for SiteRecovery Manager

hi,

i had a look on ken werneburgs blog about using srm api via powercli to automate srm stuff.

cool stuff, but i'm missing 2 things, or maybe just haven't found them, as i'm not the srm api man Smiley Happy

maybe someone can help me:

- is it possible to change the "ip settings for a vm during a recovery" (f.e. new ip-address after recovery to the recovery site) for a vm through the srm api ?

- is it possible to change / setup the network mappings via the srm api (not within a protection plan, but in general) ?

thanks for your replys !!

best regards, chris

hi,

thanks for your quick reply !

i understand - the ip-address thing seams to be quite straight forward.

but i haven't found anyting about the network mapping (not per vm, but for all networks in one step).

can you help Smiley Wink ?

thanks in advance, best regards, chris

I' e looked into it extensively. There is no api to map/remap networks or set ip addresses. The dr-ip customizer is the only want currently. I am hoping that the next version will have more flexibility around this.

SInce I had protected VMs across multiple networks, I did a many to one inventory network mapping. if I need to rebalance the networks, I'll have to unprotect/reprotect to pick up new inventory mappings.
