Physical to Virtual

I am just starting to read up on Site Recovery Manager and wondering if it is possible to use Site Recovery Manager with a physical environment and have the fail over Virtual?

If I can't use this, does anyone know if that is possible.???

thanks

SRM only support v2v, you may want to look for host base replication solution in this case.

SRM only does V2V protection only. If you need a Physical to Virtual, the only solution that i've tried and proven is Novell Platespin Protect. You could download and trial and see how it works.

As written SRM works only with VMs, but disks can also be RDM.

What you may need is Novell Platespin Forge.
