In SRM 5.0 how should I purchase the license for the SRM server.

I will be implementing SRM 5.0 and using SRM I would like to protect 1000 virtual machines. I heard that SRM 5.0 is licensed based on 1 VM so that in case should I purchase 1000licenses or 1 license key which provides 1000protected virtual machines support.

Guide me on this ASAP.

They come in 25 pack license. You will have to purchase 40 of them.
