Good question, because I don't know...

Did you use IP address rather than hostnames in the pairing site...

I'm worried that changing IP address might cause unpairing of the SRM... also I'm not sure what might happen to all your inventory mappings and such like which require the two VC's and SRMs to see each other...

Can I ask - what's forcing this change - and is there another way of doing this...

Regards

Mike

ps. I must admit this is one scenario I didn't test in my book... it will go on the list for the 2nd Edition....

Hi Mike!!

I use hostname, because apply the ruler of VC: adds hostname to VC because HA needs this. I add hostname to SRM.

The escenary of implementation is very strange: for 1 month 2 SAN + 4 Servers (for site primary and site secundary) were in the seat that was the primary stage of testing, then you have to carry the SAN + 2 Servers to the second site and there is going to change the configuration of network.

The question is What impact has this change in the functioning of the solution?

The storage is EMC + mirrorview/A, specialists of EMC will change the network configuration of the Storage, this impact in the validation of the data thats was migrate. But I don´t know how to change the configuration in SRM with VC and ESX. The SRM and VC and Update Manager was installed in the same server, use DB SQL express.

Please someone knows any option??

Help!

Regards

Jose
