Hi, I'm currently implement Site Recovery Manager 5.0.1 with EMC Clarrion CX4 + Mirrorview

what I'm can pass is

Test from HQ to DR >>>> Pass

Planned Migration from HQ to DR >>>> Pass

Reprotect from HQ to DR >>>> Pass

Test from DR to HQ >>>> Failed with error (with the same recovery plan that use to failover from HQ to DR)

this is what it says :

Error - Failed to create snapshots of replica devices. Internal error: std::exception 'class Vmacore::InvalidArgumentException' "Invalid argument".

it's error at step 4 = Create Writeable Storage Snapshot

what I need to check ? where the problem is ? does anyone face it before ?

Sounds like you have problems with the SnapView configuration on your CX4 at your HQ.

Do you have the RLPs configured?

I forgot to tell you.

when test got error I go to Unisphere at HQ site to see what's going on.

I Think EMC can create Snapshot and it's can active + session (you can see in my attachment)

and this is information that you might need.

at HQ i'm using CX4-240 with flareOS ver. 4.30

at DR I'm using CX4-120 with flareOS ver. 4.30

and in my attachment also attach my RLP Config for HQ site too.

Make Sure You have Sufficient Spaced Luns provisioned at Reserve Pool for the Snapshots.

when I try to refresh Device enabled array pair

i got error at HQ site as the same that says in history.

When you start the test and keep an eye on your CX4 does it alawys stop on the same snap of a specific LUN ?

Btw.: Why are you using so big LUNs for your RLP? You can see in Capture2.png that a 10GB LUN gets a 300GB Snap Lun from the RLP. Not quite efficent.

Try a restart of your SRM server.

Solved SRA error manytimes before.

I have try to create lun and replicate back to hq storage.

and when I try to test new recovery plan that contain new protection group that created before.

but it's got error at the same step.

Is it possible that because storage group in EMC because

In HQ Site I have ESX Group that contain all HQ ESXi host + 1 backup server with Windows 2003 (I think it's physicle server)

In DR Site I have ESX DR Group that contain all DR ESXi host

when step 4 in EMC it's can create snapshot and active session but after that it's error.

but when I try to Test with another SRM Test Server

my test environment is

1 ESXi 5.0 at HQ Site connected to Storage group that contain only this server.

1 ESXi 5.0 at DR Site with Existing Storage Group (ESX DR Group) with LUN that failovered from HQ (In real environment)

try to test,failover to HQ site of test environment. it's work perfectly.

I have try reprotect + failback several times. it's work perfectly too.

so my question is. Is is possible it's because EMC Storage group that contain another OS
