Failed Pair SRM 8.4 - srm-fqdn:443/drserver/vcdr/vmomi/sdk invocation failed java.net.SocketTimeout

Hi, all.

I ask for help from all of you to solve my case. The details are below:

  • I have 2 vCenter, DC and DRC.
  • The vCenter DC and DRC versions are 7.0U2
  • My version of vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager is version 8.4
  • For time synchronization, I'm using NTP Server and all the times on vCenter, vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager are the same.
  • When I did a "new pair", I got a problem (You can see the image below).
  • I tried everything, re-deploying vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager but it still failed.
  • I found this KB : https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78292
  • Is KB is the solution to my problem? Unfortunately, in KB we are required to enable Site Recovery Manager Managed Object Browser (Refer: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78291)
  • On KB https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78291, we have to download the version-specific SRM-Version-MOB.zip file from the "Attachments". But on the attachment there is no SRM-8.4 version.

What should I do? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi BIOCTAGRAM,

I'm working on the backend to update the KB for you; I hope to have the information by Monday.

Thank you for pointing out the miss!

Also Are you using a domain account to perform these actions?

Try your local SSO account if possible, that shouldn't hit the same issues...

(administrator@vsphere.local) or what you picked during the VC install...

Hi vFouad,

Thank you for your response and reply.

We have used local SSO Account  (administrator@vsphere.local) for pair but still fail.

Do you have any other advice I can try to solve this case?

Thank you.

Hi BIOCTAGRAM,

Sorry for the delay, I needed to do a bit more research on this item.

libdrBrowser.so is bundled with the appliance. It's located in /opt/vmware/srm/lib and the steps are the same from point 4 of https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78291

Hopefully this helps you get past this issue.
