Error - No hosts with hardware version '9' and datastore(s) which are powered on and not in maintenance mode are available

Hey again,

Another SRM question. While testing a recovery plan i'm getting the following error:

Error - No hosts with hardware version '9' and datastore(s) snap-xxxxxx which are powered on and not in maintenance mode are available

I'm getting it on a template! all host in the recovery site are hardware version 9 and the snapshot are being exposed on the recovery site as it should.
Other virtual machines that reside on the same datastore are being recovered properly

Any Ideas?

Dan.

Hi,

I'm also suffering from the same message with SRM 6.1, using VR.

While testing a recovery plan I got the same error.

I checked these ones.

Have you tried these solutions?

Site Recovery Manager 5.5 Documentation Center

Recovery Fails with Unavailable Host and Datastore Error

Recovery or test recovery fails with an error about host hardware and datastores being unavailable if you run the recovery or test shortly after changes occur in the vCenter Server inventory.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Ensure that there are valid resource pools to fail over to.
  2. From the protection group/virtual machines:
    1. Remove the protection from each virtual machine pointing to invalid protection resource pools.
    2. Configure the protection for each virtual machine and point to valid protection resource pools.
