EMC software required for SRM

Hi guys,

i am looking at the below setup.

ESX 3.5 with EMC CX310 in the protected and Recovery site.

They are using mirrorview to replicate between the two sites.

I have read in different posts you also need EMC snapview and to allow for test failovers, and EMC solutions enabler.

Is this correct for this type of setup?

Thanks

DC

I've got two CX3s...

EMC MirrorView SRA needs .NET 2.0 and the EMC Solutions Enabler to be installed prior to installing the SRA. But you don't pay for that do you???

As for snapshots - I did use the right-click option to create a snapview snapshot. Are they not a built in component of the array or separate license?

Hello

Yes SnapView and MirrorView are separate licenses and are licensed by CLARiiON frame.

You need SnapView in order to create the Snapshots that SRM leverages for testing the configuration

Mike's units were loaded up to allow him to author his valuable Guides with no restrictions :]
