EMC RecoverPoint Storage Replication Adapter Version 2.1

Hi everyone,

I'm having issues with this SRA version 2.1! The installation went just fine on both sites. Pairing and mapping is functional between two VCenters.

I have VCenter 5.1, SRM 5.1 running together on a W2K8 R2 on both sites.

After the SRA installation, i tried to "Add Array Manager" on VSphere Client SRM GUI, and i got the error: "Unable to find any array script (SRA) files. You must install SRAs before adding an array manager"

If i try to "Rescan SRAs" i have this error message: "Failed to load SRA from 'E:/Program Files/VMware/VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager/storage/sra/array-type-recoverpoint'. SRA command 'queryInfo' didn't return a response"

Tried to restart/reinstall several times, but it didn't work!

I have exactly the same symptoms on both SRM servers!

Did anyone face this problem?

Thank you

Did you installed the perl as mentioned in the below link

http://virtualstoragespeak.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/ibm-san-volume-controller-and-storwize-v7000-vmw...

also check the below

Yes i installed Active Perl on the recovery site to test it but it didn't work Smiley Sad

.NET 3.5 is already installed on both servers also.

Problem solved!

I just reconfigured SRM service to login using local Administrator account (the default is local system) and restarted the service. I rescanned and the SRA is now discovered!

Leave it to Java installer to create a headache.  Make sure your Path variable includes the path to Java and it works fine.  The SRM System Log detailed this issue with Java.

Hi Mike,

Well, i have resolved it by re-installing an English OS. I had a french OS and i found this KB: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102721...

But the solution described in this KB did not solve the issue Smiley Sad. So after many tries, i re-installed my OS in English and it worked.... for few days...

However, now i'm facing a new problem: SRM service is failing due to some authentication issue Smiley SadSmiley Sad. I'm working on it...

Thank you

Hope this will help you

We recently had similar issue at a site with SRM 5.8

"Unable to find any storage replication adapter (SRA) files. You must install SRAs before adding or modifying an array manager"

Found it was caused by the Path variable missing required entries...

Path=C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;c:\Program Files\MIT\Kerberos\bin

Added this back in to Windows 2008 R2 host, and reinstalled SRM and SRA adapter and it worked.

Michel.
