Changed Network Mapping

I changed my network mapping but the recovery plan still shows the old network.  After deleting and recreating the plan it shows up correctly.

Do I need to actually delete and recreate or will it auto update if I initial a "test" or a "run"?

Hi,

Inventory mappings are just defaults for new protected VMs. Changing them does not have an effect on already protected VMs.

You need to re-protect VMs if you want the changes to take effect.

There is no need to re-create recovery plans, but you do need to reconfigure VM-specific settings in recovery plan(s) (recovery order, commands, IP customizations, etc)

Michael.

In this context, by "re-protect" I mean remove protection and then configure protection of a VM anew.

Damn.  I have multiple VM's of course in the protection groups and each needs to have their ip changed via customization files.  I need to re-add the file to each VM again....  Lots of work for a simple change eh?
