Info About Access Permissions

Hi

I have Vmware ESx 3.0 ,i would like to give access permission to specific user for a separate Vmdk file can u help me out to slove this

I Tried some steps but

1, Logged to Infra client and selected the File and by Right Click tab i add the user in Add Permission

2, I denyed the Permission for the user in other Files but the user is able to Restart Server so my Security Setting Fail

Please help me out

Hello,

You need to set the Roles and Permissions for that User on the VM in question. If you give the user VM User or VM Administrator they can restart the VM in question at anytime.

You will need to create a custom role giving them just the 'Console Interaction' permission.

Select the ADMIN button. Then the Add Role button and then Virtual Machine->Interaction->Console Interaction.
