Hello all,

We recieved a report of from the CA that states we have a CAT II finding in regards to GEN001700. I have looked all over, and cannot find any information about the fix requried for this finding, or even if it's relevant to VMware. It is in reference to UNIX Stig 3.7 Run Control Script. In the SRR Script thread nothing is mentioned about this finding. Can anyone help me, or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for the help.

What file is triggering the Run Control Script finding?

The ESX service console does indeed have these types of UNIX files. But they all should be compliant with the rule "... run control scripts only execute programs owned by a system account or an application default."
