ESXi 4.0 in DoD environment

We've used ESXi 3.5 and have been able to lock it down satifactorily in a DoD environment.

We're looking at ESXi 4.X and are having problems meeting the same requirements.

Has anyone deployed ESXi4.0 in such a way to satisfy DSS/NISPOM?

If so, what steps did you take?

TIA

I know ESXi 4 has been installed in many DOD locations but I am sorry I do not have the specifics.

I have also moved this thread to the approriate forum

Hello,

As there is currently no DISA STIG for ESX v4, you will need to work the exception process within the DoD.... There is a STIG under development but I have not heard when it would be available. We do know that it most likely will be based on the VMware Hardening Guide.... The Current STIG still applies in many ways but not for everything.
