Change root username in vSphere Client 5.1.0 for VMware vCenter Server

Hi,

I want to change the username from "root" user to a new user name called "service". How can I do this?

I dont know where to look for users.

Hello,

I assume you are using VCSA? Please verify.

Just create a user per service, I.e. I have a unique user for ever aspect of management. Then grant those users the proper roll, such as read-only, administrator, etc.

I would not mess with changing the root user, but I would change its password after creating a service account.
