Our application is a VMware is a plugin in the vCenter. We are still on "flex". Here is one of the challenges we have, looking for some suggestions on how to fix it.
We need to run some initialization stuff when the user accesses any of our plugin functionality for the first time after logging into the web client UI. This initialization can take quite some time (around 40 seconds) and it is triggered only when the user visits any of our plugin’s pages. We would like to keep our plugin initialized even before the user visits our pages. So we are looking for some hook to trigger our initialization as soon as user logs into the web client and NOT when the user visits our pages. Is there an event or some notification that we can really on? Can someone suggestion a way to do this?
