VMware vCenter 4.1 and Vmware Vsphere 4.1

Hello,

I am looking for some clarification. We have a legacy implementation of VMware vCenter 4.1 and vSphere 4.1? Is this impacted by VMSA-2021?

In the advisory the following is mentioned but iI assume this is a different product than the legacy vCenter 4.1 Product

Cloud Foundation (vCenter Server)
4.x
Any
CVE-2021-22011, CVE-2021-22018

The Cloud Foundation is some kind of bundle and special implementation based on the current products. It have nothing todo with the 10y old vCenter 4.x

The oldest version which is under support and get patches is vSphere 6.5 which includes vSphere ESXi and vCenter. IIRC supported at the end of 2022 together with 6.7.

Regards,
Joerg

Thanks! I also see https://core.vmware.com/vmsa-2021-0020-questions-answers-faq# in this blog post that

Who is affected?

The VMware Security Advisory will always list the specific supported products and versions that are affected. In this case it is vCenter Server 6.5, 6.7, and 7.0.

Can someone from VMware chime in as well about vCenter 6.0 and below applicability?
