Problem install windows 2008 64 on ESXi 5 on Virtual Box

Hello everybody,

I installed ESXi 5 on virtual box 4.1.8, and I tried to install windwos 2008 r2 64bit on the ESX , but I couldn't, I got a message says: 64-bit operation is not possible.

My PC has I5 processor and the host OS is windows 7 64-bit and the    VT-x/AMD-V   option in virtual box is enabled.

I don't have any experience in vmware so please help me.

VirtualBox does not virtualize VT-x/AMD-V, so 64-bit nested guests are not possible under VirtualBox.  If you are looking for a free product to do this, you can use VMware Player 4.0.

HI

You can also use Vmware Workstation 8 to run ESXi5.0

It works on my laptop.

Hi Friends,

I am new to VMware 5 too, my intention is to install ESXi 5 and host some VM's on it, does VM Player or VM workstation 8 limit the performance / memory on the guest operating systems??? can you please help.
