Nested LAB Hardware Configuration advice

Hello Guys

I need an advice i would like to build a nested lab and i wqas looking for a refurbished hight end workstation.

i found a Dell Precision t5820  with an Xeon W-2133 (6 core - 12 Thread) with 32 GB RAM for 900 Euro.

I plan to upgrade the ram with other 32/64 GB The question is if this is a enought good for a lab with 2 esxi and 1 VM Center.

It is a simple lab just to practice with the base my main concern is about the CPU. How many core/thread i should have fo a good one?

Hey man, 

 

Yes, it is, here are the minimum requirements:

 

A computer must have a compatible x86-64 CPU 4 cores CPU 32 GB of RAM, 
It is possible to run your lab with 16GB of RAM, however, it will be painfully slow and maybe a challenge to run a nested lab ( using VMware Workstation as a hypervisor)
