ESXi 5.0 Compatibility with Workstation

how can i find out which VMWare Workstation Versions run on my ESXi 5.0?

On VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes i can select a ESXi Platform, but not Workstation as a Solution.

Hello,

When you are running ESXi 5 inside VMware Workstation, this is a nested virtualisation, and it is purely used to lab and learning, the listing on the VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes website is for running production systems.  You will not find VMware Workstation listed.

VMware Workstation will run any version of recent ESXi, as this is a nested virtualisation, you can install VMware Tools for ESXi VMware Tools for Nested ESXi – VMware Labs
