Chain multiple api calls for variables in api call.

Is there a way to call the variable from multiple previous api in the chain of api to populate the get data string being sent through rest in the data collection?

Ron,

If you haven't already, take a look at the video on chaining API calls. If that doesn't answer the question, we can set up a call with the team and look at your use case in detail.

Thanks!

Mike

Hi Ron,

Apologies for the delayed response. We have moved our videos to YouTube. Here's the video regarding chained API requests:

Chaining Requests - VMware Aria Management Pack Builder

We weren't able to get multi-parameter chained API calls into the 1.0 release. It is a high priority feature on our roadmap for an upcoming release.

Best regards,
Mark

Hi,

is there an ETA when a new version with this feature will be avaiable?
We need to implement billing for NSX-T VPN per tunnel billing and unfortunately vROPS does not provide this metric.
To implement this via MP Builder i need multiple API calls to get the results

-> policy/api/v1/infra/tier-1s/${param}/ipsec-vpn-services/${param}/sessions

Kind Regards

This feature is currently being implemented in version 1.1.  We do not have a scheduled release date yet expect the release in Q1.
