All our linux hosts are managed through redhat satellite.
We sync the OSP repo to our satellite and connect our client to the channels.
Now we wan't to upgrade our rhel host from vmware tools 4 to 5. But doing this the proper way will not work.
VMware does not name the packages consistently. Instead of assigning a new channel to our client, we first have to remove the vmware tools and install new ones, instead of a yum update.
Can this issue be addressed?
