Ubuntu Server v21 VM can't send ARP out dVS

VM traffic doesn't go out DVS Created a DVS, one host attached to it. LACP running fine between the DVS and an HPE switch.

LACP/bond all looks completely healthy.

Attached a VM to the portgroup on the DVS. VM receives traffic but everything it sends never goes out on the wire.

pktcap-uw on esxi shows nothing. I've tried a bunch of different capture arguments.

Tried capturing on the vmnics in both directions, etc. Nothing. Only stuff coming in.

FWIW, tcpdump on the VM itself does show outbound traffic, i.e. the ARPs are there.

Everything is untagged everywhere. Any ideas would be appreciated.

esxi version is 7.0.

For the picture attached:

console obtained to the "us1Server" VM.  ping to 10.10.40.1.  Switch on far left receives nothing.

pktcap-uw on esxi shows nothing.  VM shows the outgoing ARP.

Hi

Can you give a bit more information on how you are trying to capture traffic?
So please share all commands you've done + the output it gives.

Also, how do you know that traffic is being received by the VM?

Issue resolved.

Had to move lag1 to "Active uplinks" and move Uplinks 1-4 down to "Unused uplinks" and all was good:

Not sure why the issue was only outbound GuestOS traffic.  Would have thought that all traffic would have been prevented from happening.

LACP, LLDP both worked fine in both directions before the correction.

And: LLDP worked up into the VM too.

But issue is resolved now.

Thanks to all who responded.
