I'm deploying VMware template of RHEL 7.9 on ESXi 6.7 U3 with vCentre 6.7 U3. I'm trying to assign a static IP address to the VMs deployed from this template using guest customizations. The problem I have is this IP address is lost after reboot of the deployed VM. I have Perl installed in my template and open-vmware tools. Is setting of a static IP address supported in this scenario?
