Manually Install or Upgrade VMware Tools in a Linux Virtual Machine Problem

I'm trying to "Manually Install or Upgrade VMware Tools in a Linux Virtual Machine".

If I set the mouse over the CD ROM I can see:

CD/DVD (IDE): Using file C:\Program Files (x86)\VMWare\VMWare Player\linux.iso

I have checked the directory and the file is there and contains the "VMwareTools-10.1.6-5214329.tar.gz"

When I do the mount I get:

/dev/sr0 on /mnt/cdrom type iso9660 (ro,relatime)

And when I do the ls mount-point I get the error:

ls: cannot access mount-piont: no such file or directory

What is the problem?

Could be a permissions issue to that file.  Are you able manually mount the ISO to the VM?
