How to differentiate RDM on LINUX, weather its in Physical or Virtual compatibility mode

Hi Team,

Sub: How to differentiate RDM on LINUX, weather its in Physical or Virtual compatibility mode

Currently I am working on Product that supports VMware infrastructure.

we were using RDM on VMs with Physical compatibility mode, but now we are planning to support RDM with Virtual compatibility mode on LINUX guest VM.

initially we were using SCSI_ID command to identify weather LUN is from VMware or other third party vendor. but in case of RDM with Virtual compatibility, Guest VM understands it as Virtual Disk.

so here the question is, do we have some LINUX command to identify weather RDM is in Physical or Virtual compatibility mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Akash
