CentOS 8 deployed from template don't keep the network settings

Hello,

I'm facing an issue with CentOS Guest customization from a template.

the deployment works, the renaming of the hostname and even the IP address are fine, but as soon as I reboot the VM the network settings are lost and back to BOOTPROTO=dhcp in the ifcfg-ens192 file

the file is created by cloud-init and I don't understand why it doesn't keep the initial network configuration provided during the cloning.

the latest open-vm-tools are installed.

thank you for your help.

Eric

I got it working.

it seems that it was an issue from the cloud-init configuration that was resetting the Network parameters to DHCP.

I removed cloud-init from my master then did not had anymore issue.
