Nice document.

According to the following kb article:

http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1012382

port 636 is required to be opened between vCenters in Linked Mode.

And this is not mentioned in your diagram.

Is this required for this situation?

No, the KB is not accurate. Port 636 is NOT required between vCenters in Linked Mode.

I like the lines connecting the services, makes it easier to explain the flow then pulling up a spreadsheet with 200 lines of different ports.
