Overview
SNMP plug-in for vCO. Provides the ability to manage network devices using the SNMP protocol.
Goals
- Provide a plugin that will be able to perform basic SNMP operations.
- Allow better management and automation for SNMP enabled network devices (communications and computer equipment, network printers, ups devices, etc.)
- Provide inventory that allows for better usability and maintenance, in comparison with the common MIB browsers.
Main Use Cases
- Register/unregister SNMP enabled devices to the vCO inventory.
- Attach specific SNMP requests for the values of interest to the different SNMP devices in the inventory.
- Start workflows or execute actions that will query network devices for certain parameters, providing known OIDs.
- Start workflows triggered by SNMP traps.
