i can not install vmware player on windows 7 homepremium 64 bit

i downloaded vmware player from the vmware site. when i launch the installer a window opens but remains grayed out. in appdata folder i've seen a .txt file where is written that the error is:

ChtmlDialog::CallJScript: Failed to obtain required requaired jscript ID; COM Error: -2147352570

whic is the reason of the failoure of the installation
