grazie

Welcome to the Community,

I hope it's ok to reply in English!?

Maybe updating to the latest available version of the Embedded Host Client (see ESXi Embedded Host Client ) will solve the issue.

Click "Help" -> "Update" in the Host Client, and either enter the URL to the latest .vib file - http://download3.vmware.com/software/vmw-tools/esxui/esxui-signed-latest.vib - (the links can be found at ESXi Embedded Host Client ), or - if the host cannot access the Internet - download the .vib file, upload it to a folder on the datastore, and enter the full  path to the file, e.g. /vmfs/volumes/datatore1/patches/esxui-signed-latest.vib.

Make sure you clear the browser cache after updating the client.

This actually looks like a missing driver issue.

If it's ok for you to use unsupported drivers on your system, you may install the Realtek driver from https://vibsdepot.v-front.de/wiki/index.php/Net55-r8168 (from what I found on the Internet, your NIC is 8168 based).

To install it from the Web GUI (Embedded Host Client):

  • download the .vib file from the above mentioned web page, and upload it to a datastore
  • shutdown all VMs on the host, and put the host into Maintenance Mode
  • set the Acceptance Level to "Community" (Host -> Manage -> Security & users - > Acceptance level)
  • from Host -> Manage -> Packages, click Install Update and enter the .vib file's location, e.g. /vmfs/volumes/datatore1/patches/net55-r8168-8.039.01-napi.x86_64.vib
  • once successfully installed, reboot the host
  • check whether the installed .vib shows up under Packages, and whether the new NICs are now detected properly

Note that in case your host has Internat access, you may not need to download the .vib file, but enter the URL for the update.
