I have a simple 1 appliance deployment in vRA7.6 which I need to migrate to a simple 1 appliance vRA8.4. The engineers get to the 7.6 portal via an URL in the format https:\\engineering.fqdn\<tenant> where I have just DNS aliased "engineering.fqdn" to the appliance name. No load balancer deployed. This hides the appliance name from the users to future proof and keeps user friendly URL.
In vRA8.4 the DNS alias idea doesn't work for the appliance address. Has anyone got any ideas how i can do it other than deploy a load balancer & set a VIP in front of the single appliance (&single IDM & LCM). I assume complicated as tenants now moved to IDM and each one needs a cert using the VIP name. Thanks.
