I have an Ubuntu 18.04 template that is configured exactly how I want it. Unlike my Windows template which I build from new each time - after every release of Horizon I simply update the Agent.
From Horizon 7.8 onwards, if I try to install the agent I get a message about how I have to install the Gnome Desktop Manager gdm3 - which isn't is exactly a small package. If I don't I am unable to progress further with the agent install.
Two questions:
1) Why is this needed?
2) Why wasn't this documented *anywhere* in the release notes?
I've tried installing gdm3, installing the agent, then removing gdm3, but it never quite goes back to how it was. I really don't want gdm3, and if I have to, will stay with an old agent till the end of time.
Frustrating.
