Hello,
I am testing a RHEL 9 install and have noticed the login/greeter screen scales fine on a thick client. When using a thin client to connect to a RHEL 9 VM. The login/greeter screen is scaled so everything looks very large/zoomed in.
After login, everything scales according to the monitor set resolution. But after logging off the VM and the horizon client reconnects to the VM into the login screen, it scales wrong again. Confirmed "Lock" screen during session is also fine. This seems to be only the login screen.
Scaling of the login screen works fine on RHEL8 VM. I am thinking it may be the horizon agent? I used the "Horizon Agent for 64-bit Linux" since there are no RHEL9 specific agent, only for a RHEL8.
Hardware: 10zig 6048v
Horizon connection server: 8.8.0 build - 21073894
Horizon Linux agent version: VMware-horizonagent-linux-x86_64-2212-8.8.0-21071111
Hi jnyb
Sorry,I don't have a thin client, so can't reproduce this issue. Could you try some steps? Thanks!
1) Linux Agent don't support rpm installer for RHEL 9, could you use tarball (.gz file) installer from https://customerconnect.vmware.com/en/downloads/details?downloadGroup=HZ-2303-LINUX&productId=1412&r... ?
2) Does resize the window or press ctrl-alt-tab on Window can fix this issue?
3) Could you try https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/79640 for RHEL 9 ?
Best Regards
Kai
