Hi,
I am running Horizon 8.0 and I have a test CentOS 8 pool. I do notice a 25-30 second login delay. According to the logs this is where the delay happens:
Oct 16 11:02:13 vdi-lnx-d001 dbus-run-session[341863]: dbus-daemon[341864]: [session uid=16309 pid=341864] Successfully activated service 'org.gnome.Shell.CalendarServer'
Oct 16 11:02:38 vdi-lnx-d001 org.gnome.Shell.desktop[341967]: Error creating proxy: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.gtk.vfs.GoaVolumeMonitor: Timeout was reached (g-io-error-quark, 24)
Google says to remove the vgfs package, but that renders the OS unusable. Has anyone ran into this problem with CentOS8?
Thanks.
Solution: yum remove gvfs-goa
