Hi!
I am having issues with horizon agent and sound. When using the web client, if sound is generated (say ringing the console bell) or startup of teams. The connection freezes for ~10s then reconnects. Sometimes this drops the client out, sometimes it just freezes and reconnects.
Looking on sound settings, I only see "dummy output".
Followed the instructions here:
https://communities.vmware.com/t5/Horizon-for-Linux/Horizon-8-0-RHEL-8-2-guest-No-sound/td-p/2821386
But this does not fix the issue.
Anyone any advice how to fix or debug?
Update... If sound is turned off, "output volume" off, then console bell no longer causes issues.
Hi stuwilkins
Which browser do you use with webclient. There is a bug for firefox web client with remote Linux desktop, I suggest to use chrome browser with webclient. Another workaround, You can also to set RemoteDisplay.allowAudio=FALSE in /etc/vmware/config of Linux VM to disable the audio feature. And We will fix this issue in horizon 2303 release.
Best Regards
Kai
