Hi all
we have a Virtual Center server with 2 Connection Servers + Secure Servers supporting about 35 and 55 guests each. All guests are Win7.
The machines usually boot in less than 30 seconds.
The problem is, it takes at least 5 minutes (and up to 15) for the user to be able to see the desktop.
So it appears that either:
a. the Connection server fails to communicate to the View client that the machine is ready for login
b. the view client hangs before sending the login instructions
c. the Connection server hangs while applying the login instructions
d. there's a different kind of problem entirely
Do you have any suggestion about how I could troubleshoot this?
Thanks
Vale43,
I would test login at each point:
vsphere -> desktop
connection server -> desktop
security server -> connection server -> desktop
with/without GPOs
storage, network, GPOs, firewalls should be checked
are these win7/10, floating pool, persona/uem, dedicated?
are you able to use Timing Profiler in VMware View 7.2?
there are many variables, good luck
Sam
thank you very much for the helpful hints! I'll get back to you as soon as I make some progress (maybe next week)
cheers
