vmware view 4.5 with linked clone

Hello,

When my VMs starts, I have this message on the events log in virtual center :

Message from esxhp01.domaine.local: The guest operating
system is Windows XP and one or more virtual SCSI devices
are installed in the virtual machine. Windows XP does not
support the BusLogic SCSI adapter that VMware ESX currently
uses for virtual SCSI devices. Install the VMware driver in the
virtual machine. Download the driver from
"http://vmware.com/info?id=43". Click OK to continue or
Cancel to cancel.

I found this vmware kb : http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=100695...

When I go the device manager, under SCSI and RAID Controllers, I just have vmware scsi controller. In my virtual machine properties I have for my SCSI Controllers Bus Logical Parallel.

So what must I do to fix this problem?

Thanks.

The best practice for XP was to put the LSI controller on the machine when you build the template.  Check out the optimization guide for XP, http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/XP_guide_vdi.pdf

1qaz,

I don't know why you put a link with slow linked clone? It's not my problem.

What's the link?

Thanks

Sounds like the driver didn't get loaded correctly.
