view persona and antivirus

Hello,

I have Trendmicro Deep Security as my AV.

i am also using view persona repository to store the appdata in a central location.

There's not much talk about this, and I wanted to ask the question of what are the best practices in term of AV scan on the view persona.

I had AV turned on, and it was consuming so many IOs (& CPU, & Memory etc on the VM that hosts the view persona files) that people were unable to work anymore.  I had to turn it off to allow the system to breath.

After I turned it off, things started to cool down.  But am I now left unprotected ? (I still do daily scans of the persona repository to catch anything that was missed out).

what are your thoughts ? please advise,

What is your View version?

Please exclude Persona process (VMWVvpsvc.exe) from real-time scanning target on AV.

I heard that several customers solved the issue like this.
