We have been using View 4 in our test environment to get familiarized with PCoIP before we deploy to our production environment and I have discovered something strange. When I log into my VM using PCoIP and then run the vSphere client on that VM, it comes up missing many graphics and text. For instance, on the Home page of the vSphere client, all of the icons are missing, I just see the text below where each icon was. Also, when I click on the Hosts view, I can see the icons for each host and VM, but the name to the right is blank.
Is this just me or is anyone else seeing this too? I tried updating the VMware Tools to the very latest version, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I get the same result when using the Console view to the VM in the vSphere client. When I connect with RDP, it seems to work fine. Any ideas?
We have seen intemitant reports of this with .net based applications. If you reinstall .net that should clear it up. I do not think you need to reinstall vSphere Client. We are looking into it to see if there is some file conflict.

Reinstalling .NET did not fix the issue.
You problay will need to reinstall vSphere client then. To work around it.

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the vSphere client, still no change. ![]()
That sinks but, at least we have a place were we know it happens and can easily be reproduced. I have not been able to reproduce it. Would you mind if we contact you after the VMware shutdown? We might want to collect some logs from you system and try to zero in on this and get a resolution to it.

Sure, you can contact me. Just let me know what you need. Thanks!
So, the plot thickens! I decided to build a new XP VM from scratch (not using our standard VDI image) and test that out. All I installed was XP Pro w/SP2, VMware Tools, vSphere Client, and the View 4 Agent and I get the same result. Attached are some pictures of what I see when using PCoIP. RDP connections work fine.
Over the weekend, I updated our ESX hosts to version 4 Update 1 from ESX 3.5 Update 4 and that seems to have solved the problem. ![]()
I am guessing you updated the vCenter Client inside your PCoIP session which updated .Net. Is that correct?
