unable to connect view composer

Hello Everyone,

Need a assistance, I am trying to connect view composer and getting error saying "Unable to connect to view composer". Not sure what is the actual problem and below are my queries:

  1. What is the correct location to view the log file via which i can troubleshoot?
  2. I tried telnetting the port 18443 from view to composer but looks its not getting through, is this the problem?
  3. if yes how can I reconfigure the composer port?
  4. secondly i have horizon view version 7 and composer at version 6, do you think its a compatibility issue?

Would appreciate quick suggestion and feedback!

2. Yes, It could be the problem. Also, if it's not the network firewall, check Connection server Windows Firewall settings if this is allowing a port 18443 connection. Also check Cannot connect to VMware View Composer (1029136) | VMware KB

4. Good question. I don't think this is supported, but have to check. I actually think you need to upgrade the composer server to version 7 as well.
