not cloning desktops (Failed to clone VMs: Missing 'equals' com.vmware.vdi)

trouble shooting steps, moved desktops into server ou, moved all view servers and desktops into view, full clones, linked clones, reinstall view, and install on new guest (2003)

Full error is:

anyone got ANY clue? since we are demoing support is a no go, which on the other hand is stupid as can be,

Did you add you virtual center to View with a user account having enough permissions on VC? check the View documentation for required permissions.

Also are you able to deploy VMs using the same template with same user in VC to the same folder.

Full admin rights.

logging in as same user to vcenter will allow us to clone from template to same folder,

i dont think it's a vc permissions issue as the log file states adam Smiley Sad

I saw something about moving the VM into the OU servers.  Is this something you specified in the pool settings?   Does the user have permission to modify AD and move computer objects?

The user definitely has permissions (domain admin). We've tried different OUs... Moving to Servers was simply a troubleshooting step.

fyi, we rebuilt the vcenter using 208 r2 enterprise and not 2008 r2 datacenter and the error went away.
