Hi all,
i'm new to Vmware view and i don't want to use it as it was meant to be used....
i want to use it as a KVM sollution to the vm's on my Vsphere. i can't use vsphere for this because i need multi screen, also RDP is no option because we use windows 7 pro, which doesn't support multiscreen RDP...
so what i did was create a separate manual floating pool for each vm. this works almost how i want it to...
the only problem is that i don't want a auto log off after x minutes. i want a option that is i login with a new user i can logoff the "old" users that is currently loged in... is that possible with vm view?
That can be accomplished with using a screensaver that kick in after x number of minutes and logs of the user.
Here is one example: http://www.autoitscript.com/site/autoit-tools/logoff-screensaver/
Hi Linjo,
Thank you for you response... but that is just what i don't want. i want the user to stayed logged on, and that if a different user creates a new session through vm view, that the old user is logged off.
the script you showed is just that the systems automaticly logs off a user if its has been idle for to long, just with more features
Hi Linjo,
Have you been able to actual get the AutoIt Tools: Logoff Screensaver to work? I have tried to deploy it in our environment and I can get the screen saver portion to kick on but it never actually logs off idle user.
I dont think this option is available for horizon view .Multiple sessions for 1 machine has always been a problem with windows 7 unfortunately when the user would try to login he will get an error no desktop available and wont be able to login I would say file a Feature support Request
