how to enable NumLock automatically

HI all,

this subject has been discussed extensible over many different forums, but yet they all suggest the same solutions that did not help.

let me elaborate:

When connecting to vdi, the numlock is turned off and needs to be turned on in order to use the numpad.

While this sounds like no big deal, it does prove to be a big nuisance because the numpad is used quite often in our organization.

We tried solving the issue by turning on the numpad option in the bios of the master image, but this solution had no effect.

We then proceeded to try and apply by registry the following setting "HKU\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators = 2" on the startup of the vdi vm's. but this had no effect either.

like previously stated, both solution are recommended by many different users across different communities, but both don't fix the issue.

any other idea's?

I hear you, Numlock is a PIA.   Maybe you could try something like WinAero Tweaker in your startup of the VM's to set it? it's freeware

Just a suggestion.
