display resolution

Using View 1.7 and connecting via RDP, is there a way to select the display resolution as one could in older versions of the View client? Changing screen resolution once connected is currently disabled via a security policy. Does that restriction need to be removed?

I would take a look at the desktop pool settings via the View Administrative Console. If that policy that you have in place is currently set on a pool that multiple users connect to then maybe you do not want to make that change. It depends on the number of complaints I guess.

YMMV

Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac Version 2.1.1 (110309) for some of my testing has a quirk of setting RDP desktop resolution to 640x530. (note: PCoIP works fine). By using CoRD Version 0.5.7 (5701) you can spawn your VMware View session and when the RDP spawn of RDC occurs you can [cancel] and copy the localhost:port entry and paste into the connect dialog for CoRD.  Then you should get something usable with regard to desktop resolution.
